Poroshenko’s
Plan: To drown Donbass in blood by someone else's hands

Thursday, May 19, 2016 - 12:31
The administration of Poroshenko has developed
a plan for a new large-scale punitive operation in Donbas with the open
military support of the West. Kiev hopes to drown Donetsk and Lugansk in blood,
while, they imagine, Russia will not be able to go for the official
intervention.
It is obvious that the new Ukrainian
"elite" are incapable of making any reasonable and structural
reforms. The positions of the "hawks" are still strong. Even among
the "moderates" there have not yet been seen any attempts to move
from coercive pressure to a rational and calm dialogue.
Sources in the Kiev highest offices are talking
about a new revanchist plan, in order to once again try to definitively resolve
the issue of rebellious Donbass by force.
The plan “Help will come from abroad" is
as follows. Poroshenko will appeal to Western countries to help Ukraine restore
order in the so-called ATO zone, such as NATO forces or OSCE paramilitary
groups.
Supporters of this scenario claim that the
delivery of Western troops to Donbass at the call of the "legitimate"
authorities in Kiev will not allow Russia to intervene in the framework of
international law.
It looks like that this was Poroshenko’s goal
when he announced the idea of arming the OSCE mission, which caused a negative reaction of the Donbass
Republics. Such a move, without approval of Donetsk and Lugansk, will be
considered as military intervention, warned the Republics.
Given that the situation in Donbas is not what
it was in the early summer of 2014, when a full-scale police operation could
have theoretically brought success to the Kiev junta, now no policemen, even
from the OSCE, will help Poroshenko. Besides, the OSCE are not at all idiots to
take chestnuts out of the fire for him.
