Lugansk Defense: Situation

The situation in the zone of
responsibility of the People's Militia remains tense and over the past day has
aggravated.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian punishers
from the 54th separate mechanized brigade, and also from the 59th separate
motor-infantry brigade by order of the command, 12 times subjected to shelling
our positions in the areas of the localities of Kalinovo, Kalinovka and
Lozovoye. The punishers fired from IFV (more than 10 shots), mortar of 82mm
caliber (more than 15 shots), the automatic grenade launcher (more than 40
shots), and also small arms of various caliber. As a result of firing by the
Ukrainian punishers one serviceman has got a shrapnel wound.
The military-political leadership of
Ukraine continues to carry out propaganda activities in the localities near the
line of contact. So, according to our investigation, in the locality of
Luganskoye the leadership of the LPR is being discredited. In mass populated
places there are distributed leaflets with information that allegedly the
officers of the Russian army are in the People's Militia decision-making
positions. Also the LPR economic situation and the welfare of citizens is
described in a negative way, the slogan: "Salaries - as in Ukraine, the
prices - as in Russia" is used. Also, in the locality of Lisichansk the
Ukrainian punishers carry out the propaganda work aimed at creation of a negative
image towards the leadership of the LPR and propaganda of local population in
favor of Ukraine.
The command of anti-terrorist
operation continues using the ceasefire regime for the equipping of new
positions on the line of contact. According to our data in the areas of the
locality of Rassadky the equipping of three platoon strong points is recorded,
on the positions there continue the engineering works with the use of heavy
construction equipment. Near the locality of Dmitrovka the company strong point
is placed and equipped in the engineering way.
Thus, the Ukrainian punishers
continue to consider the solution of the conflict in Donbass by using force as
they the main one, and also use the ceasefire regime for accumulation of the
military potential, actively applying the help of foreign partners.
In its turn, the People's Militia
plays a crucial role in ensuring protection and safety. Strictly observing the
Minsk Agreements, not reacting to military, political, information and other
provocations by Ukraine, our units steadily continue to improve fighting skill.
