The situation keeps remaining tense in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Ukraine’s criminal forces violated the ceasefire regime 796 times over the past 24 hours. At the same time the enemy launched 94 artillery-shells of 152mm and 122mm caliber, 18 tank-shells, 204 mortar-shells of 120mm and 82mm caliber and also 460 ammunitions with different types of grenade launchers on the Republic’s territory. Besides infantry fighting vehicles and small arms were used.
Ukrainian terrorists under command of the commanders of the 53rd, 72nd, 92nd separate mechanized brigades of the AFU Gruzevich, Sokolov, Nikolyuk, the commander of the 55th artillery brigade Panchenko and the commander of the 36th naval infantry brigade Delyatitsky shelled the Republic’s localities of Zaitsevo, Ozeryanovka, Vasilyevka, Verkhnetoretskoye, Dolomitnoye, Yasinovataya, Spartak, Aleksandrovka, Yelenovka, Luganskoye, Kominternovo, Leninskoye, Sakhanka, Dzyerzhinskoye and the locality of Trudovskiye of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk city.
Yesterday during provocations organized by the 92nd brigade of the AFU and an attempt to seize captives by the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance force from among the DPR People’s Militia, a serviceman died. Despite the steps taken, his body was seized by the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance force to confirm the results of provocative actions and to use it in the Ukrainian propagandists’ information campaigns. The commander of the AFU brigade Nikolyuk tries to prove himself in the right for earlier-committed crimes and misdeeds he was accused of by the military procurator's office. It is smuggling and extortions from servicemen.
Our intelligence keeps registering strengthening of AFU positions near the contact line. Thus in vicinity of:
Novgorodskoye (6km away from the contact line) – there were detected six self-propelled artillery platforms of 122mm caliber;
Blagodatnoye (18km away from the contact line) – there was detected MRLS ‘Grad’.
Avdeyevka (5km away from the contact line) – there were detected three howitzers D-30.
During the period from January 15, 2017 till 17 it is planned to strengthen a filtration regime at the checkpoint in vicinity of Kamenka by means of the military personnel of the 137th separate battalion of the 36th naval infantry separate brigade.
On the part of the Ukrainian command the restriction fact of using any mobile phone providers by AFU servicemen is registered. The Ukrainian servicemen were even forbidden to communicate with their relatives due to this they express their dissatisfaction with the actions made by their commanders.
Yesterday the units of the DPR People’s Militia deployed mobile kitchen trailers in the localities of Spartak, Staromikhailovka and Zaitsevo located near the contact line to provide local population with food who always suffer from criminal shellings of the AFU.
We will continue holding events devoted to support of the Republic’s population.
