Question: The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has presented Moscow with a note of protest over Russian leaders’ visit to Crimea. How would you comment on that?

Sergey Lavrov: We didn’t fight it, because it’s of no concern to us. This is our land and Russian leaders have a right to visit their own territory without asking anyone’s permission.

Question: What should we expect from this meeting of the Valdai Club?

Sergey Lavrov: Is that a serious question? You should expect discussions, thoughts and interesting ideas. That’s a pretty trivial question from Vedomosti, the answer is obvious.
