Lugansk Defense: Situation Report, 31.05.2016

Over the past day the situation in the zone of responsibility of the People's Militia has not undergone any significant changes, it remains tense and tends to aggravation and escalation of the conflict.

So, yesterday at 09:30 the AFU fired at our positions near the locality of Kalinovo with small arms from the direction of the locality of Novozvanovka.

At 12:10 the enemy fired at the People' Militia positions near the locality of Kalinovo with small arms from the direction of the locality of Novozvanovka.

At 17:20 the AFU also fired at our positions near the locality of Kalinovo with the IFV-1 (2 shots) from the direction of the locality of Novozvanovka.

At 19:00 the AFU fired with the IFV-1 (2 shots) from the direction of the locality of Mironovsky at our positions near the locality of Logvinovo.

At 19:35 the AFU subjected to firing our positions near the locality of Kalinovka with grenade launchers (7 shots) from the direction of the locality of Luganskoye.

And at 21:05 the AFU fired at the positions of the People's Militia near the locality of Novoaleksandrovka with small arms from the direction of the locality of Novozvanovka.

As a result of firings there are no any losses among our soldiers.

Meanwhile, the actions of the AFU command speak about the unwillingness of Ukraine to solve the conflict in Donbass peacefully.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has declared that within reforming of the AFU it is planned to allocate till 2020 more than 500 million UAH for development and improvement of the educational and material, technical resources of the Ukrainian training ranges. And namely to create infrastructure, to build barracks and office housing for military. In particular in June it is already planned to build a military camp on the training range Shyroky Lan for five thousand people.

The AFU keep deploying the military equipment to the line of contact. Our investigation has revealed the movement of military equipment, consisting of three units (tanks or the IFVs) from the Chuguevsky district of the Kharkov region to the anti-terrorist operation zone, allegedly, to the area of the locality of Pokrovskoye to the zone of responsibility of the 59^thseparate motor-infantry brigade.

Also we are aware of the fact that the AFU command delays the demobilization of the military personnel. Besides, the command of the 54^th separate motorized brigade allegedly having lost the reports doesn't let the subordinated staff to have holidays.

In our turn, the LPR People's Militia units strictly carry out the agreements reached in Minsk and observe the ceasefire regime along the entire line of contact.
